who we are
The Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Student Success (CCC-USS) is a partnership between educators on the Central Coast who are dedicated to creating and sustaining a system to support undocumented students in our region so that they can achieve their personal and professional goals. This support system operates in three committees: Education, Community, and Political Advocacy.
Our mission is to create social change to ensure educational equity for all students and build capacity to support undocumented students in our region.
In 2015, CCC-USS was founded by staff and faculty from Allan Hancock College, California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), and Cuesta College. Today, CCC-USS includes K-12 representatives and other community partners in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara counties.
As of May 2018, CCC-USS is a fiscally sponsored organization under Ecologistics in San Luis Obispo. Donations to Ecologistics for CCC-USS are deductible and will support events, presentations, programs, and other organizational costs. Donations can also be made specifically to provide direct support for undocumented students, including assistance with DACA renewals. To donate, visit ecologistics.org/donate and indicate in the comments that the donation is for CCC-USS. Thank you for your support!
The next CCC-USS meeting is on Thursday, June 7th from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Five Cities.
If you would like to stay up-to-date with more events on the Central Coast, you can find our calendar here.
