Manuela Cruz (she/her/ella)
Cal Poly Master's in Curriculum & Instruction/Multiple Subject Candidate
Born in Oaxaca Mexico and came to the U.S at 8 years old. I am a first-generation undocumented student and the daughter of farmworkers, as an English learned and Mixteco speaker I did not see representation throughout my education I never saw myself in higher education. As I am graduating from Cal poly with a teaching credential I want to work and teach in Santa Maria, I want to be an advocate for my students and their families and be a representation for my community. I am looking forward to incorporating social Justice in my classroom and show my students that they belong in every space.
