The Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Student Success (CCC-USS) is hosting an Undocu Summit Saturday April 2, 2022 and bringing together college Dream Centers, K-12 educators, organizations, and community members within the city of San Luis Obispo and neighboring communities including north and south county partners.  “Undocu Summit: United We Rise, Together We Dream!” celebrates the strength and unity of our beautiful community. 
Participate in presentations, resources, and workshops to address the needs of the Central Coast’s mixed status and undocumented communities. Join us for an amazing day of collaboration between local educators, nonprofit organizations, activists, legal aides, and uniting of the community. This summit will:
  • Raise awareness of and address issues facing the undocumented community in San Luis Obispo
  • Celebrate undocujoy and provide a space for the undocumented community
  • Bring together the undocumented community and allies in one place in order to collaborate, build community, and help all organizations and individuals working with the undocumented community to achieve goals that will have a lasting impact on community
  • Explore opportunities to integrate organizational data and community knowledge to form a more holistic understanding of the range of undocumented experiences in our community, as well as specific barriers that we can collectively address in future work together. 

This event is free and welcome for all to attend, including: 
  • Mixed- Status, Undocumented, and DACAmented students and families (attendees will receive free resource bags) 
  • K-12 and college educators serving undocu communities 
  • Service providers and agencies
  • Community leaders and activists
  • City and county staff and elected officials

This event is sponsored by: The Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Student Success and San Luis Coastal Unified School District; and sponsored in part by a grant from the City of San Luis Obispo. In collaboration with: Ecologistics, Cal Poly UndocuAlly Working Group, Cal Poly Dream Center, Cuesta College Monarch Dream Center,  Allan Hancock AIM to Dream Center, SLO County UndocuSupport Fund, and Mixteco Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP).

The Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Success is a collective of advocates and educators that challenges anti-immigrant and oppressive ideologies, institutional practices, and everyday actions that threaten undocumented and historically marginalized communities. The Coalition’s vision is to create social change to ensure educational equity for all students and build capacity to support undocumented students in our region.

La Coalición para el Éxito de los Estudiantes Indocumentados de la Costa Central (CCC-USS en inglés) organizará una Cumbre Undocu el sábado 2 de abril 2002 que reunirá a los Dream Centers universitarios, educadores K-12, organizaciones, y miembros de la comunidad de San Luis Obispo y de las comunidades vecinas. “Cumbre Undocu: ¡Unidxs nos levantamos, juntxs soñamos!” celebra la fuerza y ​​la unión de nuestra hermosa comunidad.
Participe en presentaciones, recursos y talleres sobre las necesidades de la comunidad indocumentada y de estatus mixto en la Costa Central. Únase a nosotros para un día increíble de colaboración entre educadores locales, organizaciones sin fines de lucro, activistas, y asistentes legales. Esta cumbre:
  • Creará conciencia y abordará los problemas a los que se enfrenta la comunidad indocumentada en San Luis Obispo
  • Celebrará undocujoy y proporcionará un espacio para la comunidad indocumentada

  • Estudiantes indocumentados y familias de estatus mixto, beneficiarios de DACA (los asistentes recibirán un paquete con información y recursos gratuitos)
  • Educadores K-12 y universitarios que sirven a las comunidades indocumentadas
  • Proveedores de servicios y agencias
  • Líderes comunitarios y activistas
  • Trabajadores de la ciudad y del condado y funcionarios electos

La Coalición para el Éxito de los Estudiantes Indocumentados de la Costa Central es un colectivo de defensores y educadores que desafía las ideologías opresivas y antiinmigrantes, las prácticas institucionales y las acciones cotidianas que amenazan a las comunidades indocumentadas e históricamente marginadas. La visión de la Coalición es crear un cambio social para garantizar la equidad educativa para todos los estudiantes y desarrollar la capacidad para apoyar a los estudiantes indocumentados en nuestra región.
